Zayed University Abu Dhabi

Zayed University Abu Dhabi is one of the most prestigious universities in the UAE.  The institution needed to find an effective design and lasting solution for its catering facility.  The Iterum team put together a comprehensive, and ultimately successful, tender that included survey and feasibility study, design procurement and management, construction tender and project management delivery and procuring the catering operator on a long-term contract.

The catering solution project was over 5,000sqm in size and covered three distinct areas; male, female and conference.  The project also had many associated challenges to overcome including maintaining operational functionality for much of the project, hard deadline before student return and a fixed budget established at the outset by our cost management team.

A highly skilled project team was established, the design was delivered through concept and ERDs, design and build tender procured and managed and completed within the agreed timeline.  To transition in the newly appointed catering provider and, for the first time, deliver on-campus meals to the students and staff.
